The SSN Steering Group is delighted to be seeking a number of new members. All SSN members in the public sector can apply to be considered. This notice is to formally invite SSN members to register expressions of interest in joining the Steering Group.
Steering Group membership involves attendance at monthly Steering Group meetings (typically 2.5 hours each), participating in SSN activities, taking on roles to help represent and develop SSN, and being available to support the work of the SSN Secretariat. Anyone applying for membership must be able to contribute the time and experience necessary to promote these activities.
SSN membership provides candidates with the opportunity to participate in the strategic development of SSN by joining an established and active group of SSN members and key partners. Scottish Government, COSLA, SOLACE, Improvement Service, NHS Scotland, EAUC-Scotland and the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute all participate in the Steering Group, supporting those steering group members drawn from across the public sector.
We encourage all SSN members interested in the Steering Group to give consideration to this exciting and fulfilling opportunity.
How to apply:
If you are interested in joining the SSN Steering Group and would like to be sent an application pack, please send your expression of interest to George Tarvit, SSN Director, at george.tarvit@ed.ac.uk by 9am on Monday 20th March.
Application packs will be sent to all those who are interested. Deadline for applications is Monday 3rd April. It is hoped that new members will join the Steering Group at its meeting on the morning of 19th April.
