Scottish Green Public Sector Estate Decarbonisation Scheme Open for Applications
Under the Green Public Sector Estates Decarbonisation Scheme (GPSEDS) Scottish Government is making £1 million resource funding available to support studies into low carbon heat and energy efficiency projects in buildings owned by Scottish Central Government.
This funding is designed to develop a pipeline of projects for delivery and funding support through future GPSEDS capital funds from 2022/2023 – 2025/2026.
Eligible public bodies who can apply to this fund include the following.
- Scottish Government Directorates
- Executive Non-Departmental Public Bodies of the Scottish Government
- Executive Agencies of the Scottish Government
- Non-Ministerial Offices of the Scottish Government
- Scottish Health Bodies
- Further Education Colleges
Please note that Local Authorities and Universities are not eligible.
The next round of applications are due by 31 September 2022, with all works needing to be completed by March 2023. Guidance associated with the pre-capital and FAQs on GPSEDS more generally can be found in the attached guidance.
As operators of Scottish Government’s Non-Domestic Energy Efficiency (NDEE) Framework Project Support Unit (PSU), Mott MacDonald and its wider consortium can support in the provision of consultancy services as part pre-capital support projects, providing energy audit and feasibility studies and the development of a programme of future NDEE Framework Energy Performance Contract projects.
With the ability for direct award through the PSU Framework, Mott MacDonald can also help in the development of pre-capital support applications, supporting with priced work packages and programmes of works.
