Coastal Climate Change Event in Inverness for Climate Week
Staff and members of the public are invited to attend a talk and presentation: The effects of climate change on Scottish coasts
This talk will be about how much of our coast will change as a result of climate change. Organised by Scottish Wildlife Trust – North of Scotland group with a presentation by Prof Stewart Angus from Scottish Natural Heritage. Professor Stewart Angus of Heriot Watt University and SNH has been researching the effects of climate change on Scottish coasts and will present the results of some of his research.
Diverse and complex natural processes continually change coasts physically. Natural processes that change the water level also affect coastal dynamics. But it’s the people that work and live there will be affected the most. There are a lot of linkages that are not taken into consideration, so this presentation will explore brand new material and findings.
3 October 2018 at 7.30pm in the Waterside Hotel, 19 Ness Bank, Inverness IV2 4SF
Who should attend? This event is open to public – non-members fee £5 (suggested donation) members £4, students free.
