Scotland's 2050 Climate Group are running a social media campaign this Climate Week
This year for Climate Week the 2050 Group aims to increase awareness of the draft Climate Change Bill among the 2050 Group members and other young people through a short social media campaign.
The campaign wil showcase how 2050’s young leaders are ‘stretching’ their own efforts to reduce their emissions further – echoing the higher targets that could be set in the Climate Change Bill. Though social media over the week the Group will encourage young leaders and young people across the country to:
- Understand – the new Climate Change Bill currently in Parliament and the proposed new emissions targets
- Commit – Change something in your own life. For example, if you are a veggie why not try vegan?
- Engage – Enter the conversation by demonstrating your own action or commitment and sharing it with others
This public campaign is specifically targeted to young people across Scotland. Get involved by following the 2050 Climate Group and use #BEYONDTHETARGET
