Promoting active travel in Scotland
The 11th annual Walking, Cycling, Connecting Communities Conference – commonly known as the National Active Travel Conference – returns to Edinburgh on 12 June 2019.
Celebrating over a decade of promotion and development of Active Travel in Scotland, the conference’s theme is “Widening Access to Active Travel.”
We’ll be looking at how technology can help people travel more actively and examine issues surrounding transport poverty and accessibility.
A stellar line-up of keynote speakers includes Adrian Davis, professor of transport and health, Transport Research Institute and the newly-appointed Active Nation Commissioner Lee Craigie.
Delegates will have the chance to experience a range of active travel projects and initiatives through a variety of sessions including presentation sessions, interactive workshops and demonstrations.
Keynote speakers are Professor Adrian Davies, Daisy Narayanan, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity, and Scotland’s first Active Nation Commissioner Lee Craigie.
