Climate Change Assessment Tool

The Climate Change Assessment Tool (CCAT) is the first step in understanding how well your organisation is performing its Public Bodies Duties (PBD). CCAT can help identify key gaps and suggest actions to improve current performance. Used annually, CCAT can also help drive continuous improvement across the main objectives including reducing emissions, adapting to climate risks and impacts, and acting sustainably.

The Excel-based tool, designed by Resource Efficient Scotland in partnership with SSN and Adaptation Scotland, consist of a series of questions best considered by a cross-departmental team or in a workshop. However, it can be used by members as a desktop exercise to inform plans and actions.

CCAT and accompanying resources, including a guide and slide-deck for running a workshop, are freely available on the Zero Waste Scotland website.
