Forestry and Land Scotland

Forestry and Land Scotland is the Scottish Government agency responsible for managing Scotland's national forests and land. Forestry and Land Scotland look after national forests and land to enhance biodiversity, support tourism and increase access to the green spaces that will help improve Scotland’s physical and mental health and well-being. They also provide vital timber supplies to support the rural economy.

On 1 April 2019, new Scottish Government agencies were formed to take forward the work previously undertaken by Forestry Commission Scotland and Forest Enterprise Scotland along with the new responsibilities gained following the full devolution of forestry to Scotland.

Forestry and Land Scotland's first year of reporting is 2021-22.
