Scotland’s Climate Week: 28 September – 4 October

This year, Scotland’s Climate Week will take place from 28 September – 4 October. Join communities, schools, businesses and individuals across Scotland taking action on climate change.

There will be events held across the country to celebrate progress and share climate action taking place in Scotland.

  • Scottish Water – 28 September 13:00 – 14:00
    To kick off Scotland’s Climate Week 2026, we will be joined by Elise Cartmell (General Manager, Zero Emissions) at Scottish Water. The session will include a presentation from Elise, followed by time for discussion and Q&A.
  • Great British Energy – 29 September 13:00 – 14:00
    It’s Scotland’s Climate Week 2026 and today we’re joined by colleagues from Great British Energy (GBE), a publicly owned, operationally independent clean energy company established by the UK Government to drive a step change in how the UK develops and delivers home grown energy. Headquartered in Aberdeen, it is designed to invest in and help build a new generation of clean power projects – while strengthening supply chains, unlocking private investment, and creating high quality jobs. GBE is intended to act as a national champion- bringing together public funding, industry expertise and regional capability to turn the transition into a major economic opportunity, ensuring that the benefits of clean energy- from investment to skilled employment- flow directly back to people and communities. This session will also cover GBE’s membership of the North Sea Future Board.
  • Climate Change Committee – 30 September 13:00 – 14:00
    It’s Scotland’s Climate Week 2026 and today we’re joined by colleagues from the Climate Change Committee, the UK’s statutory adviser on climate change. The session will cover their recent Well Adapted UK report, including presentation and time for discussion/Q&A.
  • Cairngorms National Park Authority – 1 October 13:00 – 14:00
    It’s Scotland’s Climate Week 2026 and today we’re joined by Grant Moir, Chief Executive of the Cairngorms National Park Authority. The session will include a presentation from Grant on the CNPA climate-related work, followed by time for discussion and Q&A.
  • SEPA – 2 October 13:00 – 14:00
    It’s Scotland’s Climate Week 2026 and today we’re joined by Nicole Paterson, Chief Executive of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). The session will include a presentation from Nicole on SEPA and their climate-related work, followed by time for discussion and Q&A.
