GCU's Centre for Climate Justice host event on mental health and climate justice
This Mental Health and Climate Justice Knowledge Exchange Event is an opportunity for mental health practitioners, policy makers, academics, activists and individuals from affected communities to discuss and propose ways to improve resilience of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities to the mental health impacts of climate change. Participants will be invited to share the most recent research findings from Scotland and around the world, and provoke discussion from a variety of professions and perspectives on new ideas and approaches in this emerging body of multidisciplinary research.
This knowledge exchange event is an opportunity to share your practice, engage in open conversations and propose new research projects across professional boundaries. You also have the opportunity to be part of a network for communities, academics and health practitioners to collaborate on resilience building in communities and promoting just approaches to mental health impacts of climate change. The outcomes and collaborations on the day are hoped to continue onto a wider stage at the upcoming World Forum on Climate Justice which will take place in Glasgow from the 19th-21st June 2019
