Making best use of GHiGs Data
greenspace scotland, with their contractor Ramboll, are running a free webinar to support public sector organisations and their contractors to make best use of the data outputs from the GHiGs project released in May 2021.
SSN member, Hugh Mushcamp, from Fife Council, one of the key people involved in developing Scotland’s Heat Map, will present on utilising this data as part of the wider local authority low carbon energy planning process including for LHEES. The Improvement Service will also demonstrate how the data can be accessed by public sector partners through their data hub service.
The event will aim to address the following questions:
- What data has been made available?
- How should I access and store it?
- How can I use it effectively?
- What tools and skills do I need?
- What questions can it help me to answer?
- What types of outputs can I generate?
- Can I share the data more widely?
This event is aimed at managers and officers that have a requirement to develop evidence-based strategies in areas involving urban green and blue space and/or low carbon energy solutions. In particular it would suit those involved in LHEES. It would also be suitable for data analysts and GIS specialists looking to understand how the data can be used effectively. Finally it is aimed at contractors working with Scottish public sector bodies to support their low carbon transformation agendas especially if involved in heating/cooling.
