Edinburgh is developing an action plan for a vibrant and people-focused city centre to improve community, economic and cultural life, as part of a wider vision for a clean, green, vibrant city.
Join in the Edinburgh Climathon and help city officials, partners and citizens to explore how we can source and use data and information on how people experience the city centre, to feed in to the wider city consultation about redeveloping the city centre to be people centred, reduce congestion and vehicle-borne air pollution, improve journey times by public transport, realise lifelong health benefits of active travel, and create public speaces that support city living.
Turn this vision into reality by working together with entrepeneurs, planners, students and city officials to provide workable solutions to understanding how people experience the city centre public realm – and how we can improve these city centre public spaces through this redevelopment.
Come with an existing idea, or come and work with an inspiring team to develop solutions. Experts and mentors will be on hand to support teams through the day.
