On Friday 16 May, the First Minister announced that the Climate Engagement Fund (CEF) has opened to applications from organisations across Scotland, including community, cultural and education groups. The Fund aims to build people’s understanding of the climate emergency, how it relates to their lives and how they can take action.
Now in its third year, the fund can support activities such as climate festivals, skills workshops, art exhibitions and youth development programmes – and encourages innovative approaches to engagement that can reach every part of our communities.
The total value of the CEF in 2025-26 is £275,000, with groups able to apply for grants of between £25,000 and £80,000.
Applications for the 25-26 Climate Engagement Fund will close on Sunday 8 June 2025.
