Health impact assessment scoping exercise of Scottish National Adaptation Plan 3

24 June 2025

Public Health Scotland (PHS) has published reports from four stakeholder workshops assessing the potential health and equity impacts of SNAP 3. SSN is working with PHS and partners to put agreed recommendations into action.

Many serious health risks from climate change are still preventable. Understanding who will be vulnerable to the health risks and how they will be impacted can help us to take targeted action to strengthen the building blocks of good health in local places. More information about the ways that climate change and adaptation responses can affect health and health inequalities can be found in Working together to build climate-resilient, healthy and equitable places: A briefing for local government and partners.
